Community rules

Welcome. The community is here to help you on your path to a US nursing career — peer to peer, with NursingUSA staff to keep things on track. Keep it useful, kind, and trustworthy.

The rules

  1. Rule 1

    Be respectful

No personal attacks, harassment, slurs, or hate speech based on nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, or any other identity. Disagreement is fine; contempt isn’t.

  2. Rule 2

    No medical advice

Don’t diagnose, treat, or prescribe in this community. If someone describes a medical situation, point them to a qualified provider. Sharing your own clinical experience is fine.

  3. Rule 3

    No legal or immigration advice

Sharing what you’ve personally been through is welcome. Acting as a lawyer or licensed advisor for someone else’s case is not. Refer immigration questions to licensed attorneys.

  4. Rule 4

    No spam or self-promotion

Don’t promote a business, recruiting service, paid course, or referral program. If you’re a recruiter or agency, identify yourself in your profile and stay in designated channels only.

  5. Rule 5

    No off-platform recruiting

Hospitals, agencies, and individuals must not solicit candidates to leave the platform for off-platform deals. Keep conversations transparent and on-platform.

  6. Rule 6

    No misinformation

Don’t post unverified claims about visa policy, NCLEX, CGFNS, hospital practices, or licensure rules. If you’re uncertain, frame your post as a question rather than a statement.

  7. Rule 7

    No doxxing

Don’t post anyone’s home address, employer, school, or personal contact info without their explicit permission — including your own employer’s confidential information.

  8. Rule 8

    Keep it work-appropriate

This is a professional career community. No NSFW content, no graphic violence, no harassment of any kind.

  9. Rule 9

    Use the right channel

Country-specific questions belong in country channels. Hospital-specific questions belong in that hospital’s channel. Global channels are for general topics.

  10. Rule 10

One language at a time, please

English is the default. If you start a thread in another language, please add a brief English summary so the broader community can engage.

Enforcement

Bans can be appealed by emailing community@nursingusa.com.
