The United Kingdom nurse diaspora in the US

British-trained nurses are well-regarded in the US healthcare system. NMC-registered nurses transfer credentials cleanly through CGFNS and are typically exempt from English-language testing requirements in most US states. The UK has a long tradition of nurse mobility with the US, and UK-trained nurses are often found in leadership and specialized practice roles.
